President Medvedev believes modernization and cooperation in modern technology industries can significantly bolster joint efforts by the Commonwealth of Independent States to soften the impact of the global economic crisis these days. Speaking at an informal CIS summit in Moscow Friday, he also emphasized the importance of cooperation in many other fields, including human contact, culture and the arts.
