BP technicians managed to cut off a broken oil pipe in the Gulf of Mexico . Earlier, the process was stopped as a cutting robotic submarine got stuck in the well. Now the specialists plan to install a containment cap on the well to pump the leaking oil. Currently, the slick has covered 160 km of the Gulf of Mexico.
