9 civilians die in blasts in Afghanistan

At least nine civilians have died in two explosions in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours. A suicide-bomber set off his car-bomb outside the gate of a NATO military base in the eastern province of Host. A local resident died, while two base guards were wounded. A civilian minibus hit a landmine in the Paktia province on Sunday night.
