100-ton dome reaches bottom of the Gulf of Mexico

Experts have completed work on lowering to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico the 100-ton dome which should seal off the pipe damaged in the explosion on a drilling platform and thus prevent any further spill of oil into the water. The dome was lowered to a depth of fifteen hundred meters.
