Yahoo finally makes good on its Vaud commitment

After hesitating for two years, California search engine company Yahoo formally announces the start of work on its planned data centre in Avenches. The companys co-founder Jerry Yang shows up for cornerstone-laying ceremonies there and in Rolle, where construction is under way on its new European headquarters, although the originally announced staffing of 350 is cut by more than half.
