Teen shot at French actor Delon’s Swiss home: media

A teenage girl was shot and injured during a party at veteran French filmstar Alain Delon’s Swiss apartment, in the presence of the actor’s son, local media said Friday.

“On Thursday at around 9.30 pm (1930 GMT), a gunshot was heard in a building at Rue Robert-de-Traz where Alain Delon lives. Alain-Fabien Delon was in his father’s apartment at this moment,” said newspaper Le Matin on its website.

Another newspaper La Tribune de Geneve said there was a party with Delon’s 17-year-old son and about 10 friends.

Without citing its sources, Le Matin said one of the teenagers took out a collector’s gun and fired a shot, hitting the girl on the stomach.

But Alec Reymond, who Tribune de Geneve named as the defence lawyer for the actor’s son, “no one shot at anyone.”

“The accidental characteristic was clearly established. It involved a gathering of teenagers which took a tragic turn,” he was quoted saying by the newspaper.

The lawyer added that Delon’s son is to be heard by a judge by Saturday evening.

Reymond was not at his office on Friday to confirm the information to AFP.

Police, meanwhile, said a girl was shot and taken to hospital after a party at an apartment in Geneva, but would not say if the apartment was owned by Delon or if his son was involved.

“During a private party of a group of minors, there was an accident involving a firearm, a shot was fired, a young girl of 16 was injured and taken to hospital,” Geneva police spokesman Jean-Philippe Brandt told AFP.

Brandt said he was unable to provide further details as the incident involved minors.

Delon’s secretary told AFP the actor “would make no comment.”

Delon has been a Swiss citizen for 12 years and lives in Geneva.
