Swiss engineers target next generation optical devices

Creating a flexible lens that can provide artificial sight is one objective of the European project Parylens, launched this month in Neuchtel and directed by the Haute Ecole ARC with a budget of 5 million francs. While the ultimate goal is the development of better solutions for cataract patients, researchers from eight countries aim to also develop innovative optical devices for cameras, biomedicine and flexible displays.
