An Internet quarter-hour?

The new chief of the Swiss army wants to make better use of technology to inspire more young people to sign up.

Philippe Rebord told Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger for a story published on Monday that giving new recruits a quarter-hour each day for Internet surfing might help ease their transition – and have them sleeping better at night.

He argues that the army must always adapt to the society it mirrors – and, what’s more, officers in training already have certain times when they can deal with private business.
