SAINT PETERSBURG – Russian police have arrested a florist and a butcher on suspicion of murdering a teenager in the northern city of Saint Petersburg and then consuming her remains, prosecutors said on Tuesday.
The girl – aged 16 – was drowned in a bathroom before being half eaten, the investigative committee of Russian prosecutors said in a statement.
"On the night of 19-20 January, Yuri Mozhnov, a florist, and Maxim Golovatskikh, a butcher, drowned the young girl in the bathroom of the apartment of one of them," the statement said.
"They cut up the body of the victim into several pieces, eating some of them and throwing the others into the bin."
