Malmö pulls itself back from the eco brink

We look at various projects underway across Europe as municipalities struggle with the duo of ‘eco’ crises: the economy and ecology.

Malmö, Sweden’s third-largest city, faced bankruptcy, unemployment and misery less than a generation ago when heavy industry and shipbuilding died a slow death. Today Malmö is one of the greenest places on the planet.
