Housing vacancy rate in Switzerland slightly higher

Bern, Switzerland GenevaLunch – Vacant housing in Switzerland increased to 36,710 units at 1 June 2010, an increase of 1,950 units compared to last year’s census, reports Swiss Statistics PDF, Fre 4 October.
Unoccupied dwellings represent less than one percent of the total estimated housing stock, according to the government’s statistical agency.
