Fraud case jolts Geneva mediation centre

The operations of the Geneva-based Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue continue unhampered, a spokesman tells Swisster, despite a criminal investigation into the defrauding of 3.8 million francs from the NGO by its former financial director. The HD Centre, which provides mediation for warring parties around the world, says it is revamping its financial controls while its donors, including several European governments, remain supportive and understanding.
