THUN – A 24-year-old former footballer with the Swiss club FC Thun was given a CHF 2,450 fine on Friday and suspended for two years for sexually abusing a minor.
The ex-player had admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old adolescent, nine years his junior in a relationship dating back to December 2006, according to the Swiss wire agency ATS/SDA.
The judgment was the first verdict handed down since an investigation into sexual abuse. A total of 13 people are facing charges of having sexual relations with the girl. Verdicts are due in the remaining cases by mid May.
