Fireman killed as flames destroy historic guildhall in Zurich

- A fireman was killed and five others injured overnight tackling a fire at a historic guildhall in Zurich, Switzerland, police said.

The 44-year old died at the scene when the roof collapsed. The flames destroyed most of the 14th century carpenters’ hall in the city centre.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
