ZOFINGEN – Police say a 4-year-old child in Switzerland survived after falling from a fifth-floor window onto a sidewalk 8.5 metres below.
Police in the northern canton of Aarau say the incident happened Sunday when the girl climbed onto a stove and opened a window to get a better view of a snowstorm.
Guests in a nearby restaurant heard a thud and found the girl had fallen onto the sidewalk below.
Police say she suffered bruises and a broken rib, and none of her injuries are life-threatening.
