Karlsruhe, Germany -- A woman and two men have been arrested on suspicion of supporting a terrorist organization dedicated to overthrowing the Turkish state, German prosecutors said Thursday.
The three Turks are accused of supplying funds and money to the terrorist wing of the Revolutionary People's Liberation Party/Front (DHKP-C).
They are also believed to be high-ranking functionaries of the DHKP-C, which has been blamed for suicide killings as well as firebomb attacks and explosions that have claimed many lives.
Prosecutors said the woman, aged 32, had collected 83,000 euros (107,000 dollars) from Turks in the cities of Cologne, Duisburg and Dortmund and transferred the money to the DHKP-C in Turkey.
She also selected couriers and vehicles used to transport weapons, they added. The men, also in their 30s, allegedly carried out similar functions in other parts of Germany.
The DHKP-C has been accused of using suicide bombers to achieve its declared goal of replacing the Turkish government with a Marxist-Leninist administration.
