The window of a Jewish studies centre in Geneva was smashed in a night-time attack.

GENEVA - The window of a Jewish studies centre in Geneva was smashed in a night-time attack, a group which campaigns against anti-Semitism told Switzerland's ATS news agency on Monday.

The Swiss association CICAD called upon the government to denounce the attack which took place overnight Sunday-Monday.

According to the group it was the first attack against a Jewish property in Switzerland since the Israeli government launched its offensive against Hamas militants in Gaza on December 27 that has killed more than 900 Palestinians.
