France to donate swine flu vaccines to WHO

The donation represents 10% of France’s entire stock of 94 million doses of vaccines that it has ordered from four pharmaceutical companies in response to the pandemic from the A/H1N1 virus.
"International solidarity will be a determining factor in reducing the health, economic and social impact of the pandemic," said the statement from the Elysée palace.
France said the decision to share some of its vaccines with poor countries was taken in discussions with Australia, Brazil, Britain, New Zealand, Switzerland and the United States.
At least 3,205 people have died of the virus since it was uncovered in Mexico in April, according to the WHO.
