Anti racism conference opens in Brussels

BRUSSELS – A major conference against racism and xenophobia opened in Brussels on Monday.

The event was organised by the Paris based Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and included delegates from 55 different countries.

In his opening speech to the event Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt said young people still were not sufficiently aware of the problems caused by racial prejudice.
