AMSTERDAM – One of the biggest bosses in Amsterdam's red light district sex industry may have found a buyer for his extensive property in the neighbourhood.
Charles Geerts is negotiating with NV Stadsgoed, a subsidiary of housing corporation Het Oosten, on the sale of his red light real estate empire.
A spokesperson for Geerts confirmed this on Tuesday after a report in De Telegraaf.
The sale of twenty buildings which host a total of 53 prostitution windows is being discussed. This constitutes 30 percent of the total offerings in red light window fronts in the famous prostitution neighbourhood.
The two parties will soon meet to negotiate. If the talks do not result in a sale, Geerts' spokesperson says another six interested buyers are lined up to buy the empire.
