AMSTERDAM – Roughly ten thousand Dutch citizens have sent an e-mail to the government via the website www.reddepaddo.nl (Save the Magic Mushroom). In their e-mails the protesters called on the government to not ban the sale of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
The action group that set up the website on Friday reported this on Monday.
People visiting the website can send an e-mail to Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin, Health Minister Ab Klink and the political parties that are in favour of banning the sale of magic mushrooms.
The government announced on Friday that it wants to ban the sale of the drug.
