Dutch police raided the office of an investment firm in the town of Helmond suspected of embezzling up to EUR 33 million.

3 September 2008

HELMOND -- Dutch police have raided an investment office suspected of massive fraud involving bonds.

The judicial authorities say the firm, Easy Life Investments in the town of Helmond, may have embezzled up to EUR 33 million from about 500 people. The company only accepted investments starting at EUR 50,000.

The police searched the homes of four board members and arrested three people.
