AMSTERDAM – The appeal in the terrorism case surrounding Samir A. will be heard at the high security courtroom in Amsterdam today. The justice department claims he formed a terrorist organisation along with four fellow suspects.
This organisation planned to commit attacks against government buildings and politicians, the prosecution says.
Samir A. was sentenced to 8 years in prison in 2006 for preparing an attack. The court did not find that participation in a terrorist organisation had been proven however. Three other suspects were given up to 4 years in prison; one was acquitted.
