In the Dutch premier league, SC Heerenveen beat Roda JC 4-3 in a home game on a freezing Friday evening in subzero temperatures.
Bas Dost scored the first and last goals 1-0 and 4-3 for Heerenveen. Daryl Janmaat and substitute Gerald Sibon scored the second and third, securing a victory for the Frisians.
In the fourth official game of 2012, Syrian striker Sanharib Malki scored twice 1-1 and 2-2 for Roda JC. After half time, Davy De Beule put the Limburg club in the lead 2-3, but Roda had to concede to the Frisians in a match equally well-played by both squads.
