80-year-old widow was hospitalised on 16 January.

The Royal Palace reports that Dowager Queen Fabiola has now left the intensive care unit at the Sint-Jan Hospital in Central Brussels.

The 80-year-old widow of the late King Boudewijn has been receiving treatment for pneumonia and inflammation to the lungs and windpipe.

She was hospitalised on 16 January and had remained in the intensive care unit at Sint-Jan Hospital in Brussels ever since.
