AMSTERDAM—He told Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen, who is visiting Australia, that every country must balance the pros and cons itself and he accepted the Dutch standpoint. Minister Verhagen praised the close cooperation with Australian forces in Uruzgan province and Mr Rudd expressed similar sentiments.

The Dutch foreign minister concludes his three-day visit to Australia today. He is travelling on to New Zealand where a meeting is planned with his New Zealand counterpart Murray McCully.
