The companies are claiming damages for lost income since the ban on producing animal porn in the Netherlands was introduced in 2010.
They claim they have lost millions of euros because of the ban and that most of their films were made before the draft legislation was drawn up in 2007.
Topscore and Studio Martis are said by the paper to be responsible for 60% of the world’s animal porn production.
The firms are hoping use the civil courts to force a settlement.
You must be kidding. You mean until two years ago animal porn was legal? Anyway their case doesn't stand up. If a toxic chemical was banned, could you use the stuff you had stored in the warehouse that was manufactured before the ban? It depends on how the law was worded.
