Wilders exploring other options for film release 25/03/2008 00:00

Freedom party PVV leader Geert Wilders is still aiming to release his anti-Koran film Fitna before 1 April.

25 March 2008

THE HAGUE – Freedom party PVV leader Geert Wilders is still aiming to release his anti-Koran film Fitna before 1 April. But he did not want to say in the corridors of Parliament on Tuesday when and how this will take place.

The website on which Wilders planned to put the film was taken off the air on Saturday evening by US provider Network Solutions after it received complaints about the site. A Dutch Muslim organisation has also brought interim proceedings against the politician because of the film. The case will be heard Friday.

Wilders does say he has other options for publishing the film. But he will refrain from talking about the options so as to prevent any new setbacks. "I am not going to say anything more about it. I am trying to follow through on my promise to bring the film out before 1 April. The earlier the better. I am working on something, but I'm not going to say what," Wilders said.

The MP says he does not know who complained about his site fitnathemovie.com. He said the provider Network Solutions is 'inconsistent' because it hosts a site operated by radical Islamic Lebanese movement Hezbollah, he says. Wilders pointed out that so far his site only showed a picture of the Koran with an announcement that Fitna would appear soon.

the country that lets pedofiles have there right to free speach wont let anything be said against the muslims. people should be allowed to say what they want, if its foolish people will see that and wilders will look like a twat, if its based on fact then it might spark some meaningfull debate.

"the country that lets pedofiles have there right to free speach..."
I think you will find that there are many countries which do not limit the right of free speech to those with particular sexual preferences.

In any event, Wilders should simply load his film up to YouTube and within a day it will be shared across all he major p2p networks...
