Living in Zürich Living in Zürich (LIZ) is an essential orientation 5-Part Seminar designed for English-speaking expats who have recently moved into or near Zürich.

This comprehensive course is open to women and men of all nationalities and is designed to ease the transition of newcomers to Zürich and the surrounding area.

The LIZ program as well as being informative and fun, provides an opportunity for newcomers to meet other people new to the area and establish a support network.

The program highlights include Swiss Culture and History, Traditions and Holidays, Swiss Law, Banking, Postal Systems, Insurance, Transportation, Education and Childcare, Medical, Pharmacy, Recycling, Shopping and Dining and much more.

Living in Zürich takes place on 5 Fridays:

  • October 24, 31;
  • November 7, 14, 21.

Registration is from 8.15 - 8.45. The seminars begin at 9.00 and continue with a break until 12.30.  An optional lunch will follow from 12.30 – 14.00. Optional tours and workshops will be held from 14.00 – 15.30.

LIZ Course Schedule

The course runs for 5 consecutive Fridays:

8:15 - 8:45 - Registration
9:00 - 12:30 - Seminar with coffee break
12:30-14:00 - Optional lunch
14:00-15:30 - Optional tours & workshops

The cost is

CHF 200 Early Bird Rate paid in advance
 CHF 250 Pay at the door

(Visa/Mastercard accepted)

The cost includes the 400 page LIZ Handbook, Information pack and handouts, mid-morning beverage and snack. Optional on-site childcare is available – visit the website or call for details.
