06/01/2010Traditional Burns Supper

Traditional Burns Supper This prestigious event will take place on Saturday, 16th January 2010, at 19.30 in the Church Hall, Chaussée de Vleurgat 181, 1050 Brussels

St. Andrew’s Church of Scotland, Brussels

TRADITIONAL BURNS SUPPER

In aid of Charity

Guests will be welcomed by the music of the pipes and will be offered a pre-dinner drink. The menu will feature Scotch broth, haggis from MacSweens of Edinburgh, premier haggis-makers of Scotland, bashed neeps and champit tatties, all skilfully prepared by our own team of master chefs; delicious Scottish trifle, home-made to an old family recipe.  The Auld Alliance will be reflected in the fine wines on sale at the bar.

The evening will feature all the traditional entertainment associated with a Burns Supper in Scotland: speeches of wit and intellect, songs to make you smile or tug at your heartstrings, masterly words of poetry, written by the bard himself.

The programme will be performed by a dazzling array of artistes, kindly giving of their time for a very good cause.

Proceeds will go to charity projects in Brussels and in Africa.

Tickets, offered for a suggested donation of €40  and further information are  available from David Hannay on 02 296 2540 or at david.hannay@ec.europa.eu

Numbers are limited so book early and enjoy a very special evening at St. Andrew’s Brussels.
