The American Prints gallery is holding its annual sale of affordable art works by upcoming and established artists.

Collecting art is not just meant for the rich and powerful, thanks to the Art Supermarket or Supermercat d'Art organised by American Paints boutique shop.

Started 25 years ago by Jordi Labanda and Mariscal who started out selling their work at an affordable price, the Supermercat d'Art is now a yearly affair. Visitors can buy art such as paintings, drawings and sculptures which range from EUR 29 to EUR 249 from a group of emerging and established artists.

Works from previous years can also be obtained at a cheaper price.

Date: 20 November 2008 – 31 January 2009
Time: Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm & 4.30pm to 8.30pm; Saturday 10.30am to 2.30pm & 5pm to 8.30pm
Venue: Barcelona Supermercat & Boutique d’art Calvet 63
Entrance fee: free
