2 September 2004

BRUSSELS - A Belgian nudist had a rude shock at the weekend when his clothes were swiped from the Bredene nudist beach.

Belgian police officers helped him to keep his modesty by providing a white judicial laboratory coat and a police shirt.

The unfortunate nudist was also given a train ticket to return home to Mons, but has been told he has to pay it back.

Police suspect there may be a serial clothes thief, as this is the second such incident to occur on Bredene beach.
