Good weather over the Whitsun weekend brings influx of visitors to Dutch tourist attractions.

THE NETHERLANDS - The glorious weather over the Whitsun weekend has given the Dutch tourist sector a good start to the season.

According to the Club of 11, an association representing large Dutch tourist attractions, the number of visitors to theme parks and other tourist sites exceeded expectations.

The summery weather meant more visitors, not only during Ascension Day and Whitsun but also during the entire May holiday period.

Some of the theme parks also saw more German tourists than usual.
