Could le cornet de frites dethrone the Atomium and the Manneken Pis to become the emblem of Belgium for the rest of the world? Yes, according to over 2,000 Belgians who completed a recent internet survey carried out for Europa-Park, the second biggest theme park in Europe,. 

The results of the survey, published on Belgian National Day, revealed that out of the four possible emblems, the Manneken Pis, the Atomium, a praline and “un cornet de frites”, 44.85% voted for the frites, 35.41% for the Atomium, 10.95% for the Manneken Pis and only 8.78% for the praline.
