The woman died as a result of burns. Her body were found in her parents' home three weeks ago.
Lawyer Abderrahim Lahlali says that the faith healer was called in to deal with "psychological problems".
Newspaper reports suggest that the woman was a lesbian.
The lawyer claims that the healer read from the Koran at the family's home on several occasions. At no point did he perform any act of extortion.
Mr Lahlali says that his client has nothing to hide and went to the police station of his own accord.
The dead woman's parents do not face any charges at the moment. Police staged a brief reconstruction at the home of the deceased on Monday.
