Expatica Communications B.V. is an international media company founded in 2000 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

What started as website providing news and information for the international community in the Netherlands rapidly grew into a much broader resource. Within a few years Expatica expanded to include Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. Expatica has now launched Expatica UK in the summer of 2009.

Expatica.com receives an average of half a million visitors every month.

Annually, Expatica produces a Survival Guide for specific countries to give internationals on the ground the best of the site in a comprehensive and easy-to-use format.

“i am not a tourist” Fairs
Expatica Communications B.V. hosts annual “i am not a tourist” fairs to welcome expats into their new country of residence. These fairs bring companies and organisations that cater to the international community together with internationals. Our last fairs in Paris and Amsterdam attracted more than 8,000 visitors and 200 exhibitors.

At the end of 2008, Expatica launched a new look and feel with a slimmed down menu and optimal search function. We continue to work on developing and improving our website and services to fulfil the needs and expectations of our international users.
