The construction of the Medupi power station in Lephalale, Limpopo province is on a "tight schedule" to deliver its first electricity to South Africa's national grid by the end of the year, Eskom CEO Brian Dames said following a site inspection by Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba on Thursday.
