WHOLESALE MERCHANDISE PLANNER
- Reporting to the Head of European Planning, the planner is responsible for managing the flow of goods into the company to meet sales, margin, and stock targets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan the replenishment flow of goods into all Perry Ellis Warehouses (both on-site and third-party Warehouses)
- Own the process for seasonal buys and for making recommendations for replenishment purchases
- Ensure each replenishment program is satisfying forecast demand reporting on monthly performance to the management team and merchandising
- Review monthly OTB to manage intake in line with budgets reporting any variances and actions to be taken
- End to end order ownership reviewing the order at risk reports highlighting to teams where intake does not meet demand and making recommendations to ensure sales forecasts are met
- Work with Account managers to ensure customers are notified of risks and delays
- Work closely with Purchasing and sourcing teams to ensure deliveries are on time making any needed call-outs to the Management Team for any air requests
- Work with account managers to review customer weekly sales performance and make a recommendation for replenishment into account
- Ensure team enters customer orders correctly and in line with inventory availability
- Review excess and obsolete stock making recommendations to liquidate non-go-forward inventory available for common stock styles
- Review customer specific stock levels to ensure no excess left in the whs
- Distribute sell in reports to management teams and merchandising highlighting balance to achieve and any risk and potential rebuys needed
- Provide merch teams with sell-in reports and attend lessons learned meeting
- Manage and develop team members into confident planners
- Attend brand conferences and account meetings as and when required
KEY PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role or be working at retail
- merchandiser level
- Understanding of the relationship between wholesale and retail
- Intermediate/advanced excel skills
- Knowledge of supply chain function and critical path
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of commercial acumen
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, customer focussed environment
- Good understanding of stock and availability management
- Strong analytical and communication skills
