Role Description

This role is a leadership role reporting to the Head of Ways of Working. Acting as an internal advisor and coach to the organisation, the purpose of the role is to guide and enable the move to a successful Digital Operating Model.

The role is accountable for identifying, establishing and rolling out appropriate frameworks, processes, practices and behaviours across multiple Centres of Excellence and Delivery teams, to build and embed the right end to end Digital Operating Model and capability as part of the transformation of Lloyds described in .

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across Digital team and the wider Organisation to define and implement effective Ways of Working frameworks and principles
  • Provide coaching, advisory and support across delivery teams, the Digital leadership team and other stakeholders to enable and optimise the Digital Operating Model
  • Support the organisation in addressing key operating model components including strategy, governance and performance management, delivery lifecycle, tooling, key roles and capabilities, third party management, culture and change enablement
  • Drive a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the Corporation and the Lloyds Market
  • Success measures include:
  • Level of maturity across teams in adopting target ways of working
  • Sentiment measures: implementing and optimising
  • Feedback captured on Ways of Working content and support


  • Assess scenarios and build interventions to enable success
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, lack of detail and can develop concepts
  • A to E mentality; able to run with a problem and arrive at robust conclusion
  • Confident in stakeholder management and presentation
  • Detail-oriented, curious and inquisitive


  • Defining and implementing Digital ways of working in large, matrix organisations
  • Detailed understanding of multiple Agile / product aligned delivery frameworks
  • Hands-on change delivery experience within Agile teams e.g. Scrum Master / Coach roles
  • Wider operating model exposure: finances, governance, strategic alignment, reporting
  • Highly organised and network oriented


  • Demonstrable history of implementing Agile at scale in large, complex organisations
  • Ability to identify bespoke advisory and coaching opportunities interventions
  • Exposure to product-centric, outcome focused delivery frameworks and tools
  • Experience of Value Stream Mapping, Design Thinking, Lean Principles
