The Role Treasury Operations Analyst (12-Month Mat-Leave: specific need for Futures & Options Operations experience) FJR Finance is currently representing a London based, global Bank to hire a temporary Treasury Operations Analyst for a 12-month Maternity Cover Contract. The role reports into the Head of Treasury Operations and working within the their global Treasury Operations team. Our client is looking for someone with Treasury Operations experience, who has specific Futures & Options/ ETD Operations experience. The successfully chosen candidate will have a minimum of 2-years relevant Operations experience and be on a short notice period. The role is a Maternity-Cover Contract for up-to 12-months. There is a strong possibility for permanent as the company has been on an upward growth trajectory for the last few years now. In addition, the role will be working-from-home, with a PC/ Laptop provided for, but could change to a mix of hybrid working, dependent upon UK Government and Corporate guidelines changes in July’s announcement. Responsibilities: Carry out a range of administrative tasks relating to the products processed by the department including the following: – Foreign Exchange, Money Market Deposits, Bonds, Repos, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Caps, Floors, FRAs and Futures, Currency Options and CDs and other Derivative Products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:a) To carry out the day to day operations in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. b) To process/verify new transactions in the Atlas/Devon system as appropriate, according to the procedure manual for the above products. c) To confirm details of new trades with brokers and/or counterparties as appropriate. d) To issue and check confirmations for new deals, including use of both Accord Workstation, and CLS systems where appropriate. e) To input/verify maintenance of transaction events according to the life cycle of the product. f) To input/verify instructions issued to our Security Custodians via Euclid/SWIFT as appropriate g) To input/verify final settlement figures for CLS settlement using both CLS and CFO systems, ensuring covering advice is sent to Head Office h) To calculate and maintain cash positions in various currencies i) To check SWIFT payments/messages before their ultimate release for accuracy and conformity to SWIFT standards j) To verify ISDA Documentation/Confirmations for relevant products k) To maintain Important Document Records and Safe Keeping Records l) Checking and settlement of monthly brokerage invoices m) To carry out such other duties as requested by the General Manager. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: – Educated to A level standard with 3 – 5 years’ experience within an active Treasury Back Office environment – A good working knowledge of processing all products- A post-holder must have a good working knowledge of SWIFT together with sound basic accounting knowledge- The post-holder would also preferably have experience of the Devon System and settlement methods for various products for example Euroclear, Fed, Crest, DTCC, CLS etc.- A Candidate should also be familiar with bespoke close out procedures for Futures and Options. SUPERVISION AND REPORTING LINES:The post-holder receives supervision from his/her senior staff in the section (Assistant Manage or above) and reports to the senior staff or to the Head of Department KEY STAKEHOLDERS:Internal: – members of the section/other sections in the department and all other departments of the Branch, particularly Loan Administration, Financial & Regulatory Reporting and Reconciliations departments and dealers in Treasury Department, London. External – transaction counterparties, brokers and other overseas branches of the Bank.Salary Between £140 per day – £145 per day, dependent upon experience.
