Technical Author – LTC IP – 6 Month FTC
The new Lower Thames Crossing Integration Partner (IP) team is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Techical Author to take overall responsibility for editing the Strategies and Plans that are being delivered by the IP.

The Lower Thames Crossing is the most ambitious roads project in the UK since the M25 was built 30 years ago.
The proposed new 14.5-mile road and tunnel connecting Kent and Essex will unlock opportunities and economic growth for both the region and the whole of Britain.
It will provide new connections and better journeys across the Thames, providing much needed relief and additional capacity to the Dartford Crossing.
Responsibilities Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organisational standards, Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content, Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target, audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success, Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement Develops a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working with managers to discuss technical problems Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly Prepares or commissions graphics and illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing Meets with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialised topics are appropriately addressed and discussed LTCIP Skills/Previous experience Must have attention to detail and produce work with a high level of accuracy Has strong organisational skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership/getting things done Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel Demonstrates collaborative behaviours and is customer oriented Jacobs are being supported on the IP by Arcadis, COWI and Morgan Sindall, Jacobs’ submissions for this role will be considered alongside those from our partners.
