This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of PE/Sport to join a friendly and vibrant school where pupils are highly motivated and behaviour is excellent and have the opportunity to inspire young children with a love of sport and fitness.
PE and Sport at Oxford High Prep is an integral and important part of the curriculum. We are looking for an accomplished sports teacher who is able to offer a wide range of expertise. The ability to teach to a high standard across our full range of activities including Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Fitness and Swimming would be expected. In addition, commitment to our extensive co-curricular programme of clubs, fixtures and inter-house competition is essential.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated team player with an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ approach and eager to go the extra mile to ensure the girls achieve their sporting and personal potential in an environment that is both challenging and supportive.
You will be joining a department that has access to a range of facilities across two sites, as well as excellent local facilities off-site. Our main Games include Hockey, Netball, Football, Tennis and Cricket and we regularly compete against local schools and in GDST competitions in these sports. The PE curriculum is made up of fitness and aesthetic activities such as dance and gymnastics, and Swimming is a stand-alone activity that also takes place weekly and contributes to our fixture schedule.
Applications from NQTs are warmly welcomed.
