An exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding OFSTED rated secondary school, located in the highly desirable area of Fulham, London. The school is seeking a teacher of MFL, who specialises in Spanish and French. The teacher of MFL is expected to nurture a deep love of languages in their students as well as propel them towards an A* at GCSE and A-Level. The successful candidate will be a committed teacher with a desire to build a culture and joy around communicating in foreign languages. They will share the school's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels.
To teach Spanish and French to KS4 and KS5 students
To ensure that student data about progress, attainment and achievement is used effectively to improve student outcomes
Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual students and of any class or group of students assigned to her/him.
Advising and co-operating with the Head of School and other teachers, as well as other adults providing in-class partnership teaching, on the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, schemes of learning, methods of teaching / assessment and pastoral arrangements.
Taking such part as may be required of her/him in the review, development and management of activities, relating to the curriculum, organisation and pastoral functions of the school
Providing, or contributing to, oral and written assessments, reports and references for individual students and groups of students
Participating in arrangements for her/his further training and professional development as a teacher
You always act as a role model for colleagues and pupils
You ensure that culture, joy and behaviour in lessons is excellent and that all staff are skilfully applying the school policies and practices
You share your knowledge and expertise to improve outcomes across the school.
