Teacher of Design Technology job role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well qualified and committed teacher of Design and Technology to join the teaching staff at a well established school in the Sussex countryside, the school is for boys and girls aged 2-18 and is a leader in private education and provision.This post will involve delivering the Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level curriculum's. The successful candidate must have a keen interest in design with a focus on improving the students problem solving schools and creativity.This post offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively as part of the STEM faculty and in the DT team, the successful candidate will be teaching in new purpose-built workshops. You will have experience teaching KS3 and GCSE DT, prior experience in teaching A Level is desirable, but not essential. The post will equally suit a talented NQT looking to make the first step on their teaching career.Competence in the use of CAD/CAM as well as more traditional workshop machinery is essential. A good understanding of electronic systems is desirable. A versatile and conscientious methodology is crucial in responding to the changing world in which we live.Participation in the school's busy extra-curricular programme is expected of all teaching staff and there is considerable scope for staff to get involved in a wide range of activities.This role comes with an excellent salary package and the opportunity to develop a career in a forward thinking environment.
