This is a unique opportunity to join an international company as a Tax Manager in Cardiff (UK).

In this role you will be responsible for preparation and submission of UK corporation tax computations and returns for all UK entities within the various divisions of the Tenneco Group.

This will also require a focus on UK compliance and tax planning.

This position will be part of the EMEA tax team.

Key Responsibilities Data collection for completion of Corporate Tax returns Preparation of Corporation Tax returns for review and submission of those returns to HMRC.

Responding to HMRC enquiries concerning those computations and returns Provide tax disclosures for the financial statements Dealing with Corporation Tax issues and queries as they arise from within the UK group Advise UK group on the UK income tax and foreign withholding tax implications of cross border transactions with its foreign investments Performing annual CFC reviews Dealing with day to day routine Tax Compliance issues Maintaining a record of statutory claims and elections Support the future “Making Tax Digital” project Maintenance of Transfer Pricing documentation file in cooperation with external consultant Supporting the work around the Senior Accounting Officer’s certificate Preparation of the quarterly tax provisions for USGAAP management accounts in GAM Preparation of the monthly cash tax reporting Preparation of quarterly FIN48 submissions (UTP’s) Assist in the preparation of quarterly, annual or ad hoc reporting required by the US (e.g.

tax package 5471) Work together with colleagues currently dealing with tax to ensure a good transition Work with other tax professionals to ensure the adequacy and accuracy of the financial statement presentation of income tax expense, taxes payable and deferred taxes Work with external auditors in documenting tax account balances and internal auditors with regard to process testing Working close together with the Indirect tax department for VAT issues Keep a good relationship with the different divisional Heads of Finance (Ride Performance, Clean Air, Powertrain, Motorparts) Keep a good relationship with other internal departments (Treasury, Legal, Indirect Tax) Build good relationships with external Consultants / Service providers Provide business decision support through tax and accounting research projects Required Skills What will make you successful Master degree in Accounting and/or Tax 5 years working experience, including tax reporting and compliance Knowledge of employment taxes and indirect taxes in the UK would be an advantage but not a requisite Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel Familiarity with different reporting systems (SAP, OneStream, Alphatax, …) Strong team player with the ability to support and motivate others Ability to respond to and meet critical timetables and to work under pressure Strong verbal and written communication skills, both internal and external (e.g.
