This is initially for 4 weeks, after which a review will take place regarding the need for longer term live in care.Dorothy does not have dementia although she did suffer with some confusion in hospital. She is now medically fit to be discharged and the hospital are keen to get her home ASAP.Dorothy's family are in Canada which is why a live in is the best option whilst she settles back at home.Dorothy has diabetes, and will have a nurse attend daily to inject. Due to the change in her insulin, Dorothy has suffered a number of falls and this will need to be monitored on her return home.Dorothy enjoys watching TV, and going out for walks which she has a frame and a small wheelchair she can use to support. Dorothy lives right by a Quay so you can see the tides coming in and out and local coastal wildlife.
