Industry background

A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.
The healthcare industry is in the middle of a seismic shift. The global pandemic marks one of the greatest healthcare challenges the world has ever faced, demanding and inspiring rapid innovation. Covid-19 has accelerated the adoption of telehealth, and uncovered the vast potential for highly reliable, personalised and usable screening and diagnostic tools for use in the safety of the home. Given the existing prevalence of chronic illness such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer – together accounting for circa 70% of deaths as estimated by the World Health Organisation – the time for change is now.

Zedsen technology

Zedsen’s ecosystem of digital health innovations will build a future for healthcare that is preventative rather than curative; that monitors patients non-invasively and unobtrusively; and empowers patients with ownership of their health through personalised data.

Our world-first technology has the ability to harmlessly monitor biological tissue without the need for biopsy or fluid sample collection. Zedsen biosensors create a 3-Dimensional electrical field that measures the permittivity and conductivity of materials. When coupled with complex algorithms, they are capable of non-invasively monitoring trends within our bodies. Data captured will be anonymised and analysed to reveal population health insights at scale. This foundational technology is safe, non-invasive, low cost, thin, flexible and portable.

Whilst potential application areas are vast and our portfolio of products will grow over time, we are committed to prioritising the world’s most pressing healthcare challenges where our technology has the greatest impact. The primary development streams for 2021 will be our cancer care and blood analysis products.

Company Story

Zedsen was formed in 2015 when Dr Hrand Mamigonians, Inventor and Co-Founder, created the world’s first non- invasive 3D sensor in his garden laboratory. Co-Founded by Daniel Honeywell, CEO, and Chaired by Sir Charles Masefield, Zedsen has since grown to an international team, secured 46 patents globally and experienced 50x value growth from 2015 to 2020, placing us in the Top 10 fastest growing companies in the UK and on course to be worth over £1bn in the next 5 years.

Since our inception, we have successfully expanded, experimented, tested, and stabilized our technology by building a world-class team of scientists, designers, technologists, and advisors who are dedicated to bringing this technology to market. We are actively forging partnerships with clinicians, governments, insurers, innovators and institutions to bring new solutions to our ecosystem, and ensure rapid global adoption.

Our partners, investors and collaborators include the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, Cranfield University, the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, and Innovate UK. Our Strategic and Clinical Advisors include world-renowned, visionary leaders in technology and healthcare, including John Sculley, Strategic Advisor to Zedsen and former CEO of Apple and PepsiCo; Professor Dr Justin Stebbing, Professor of Cancer Medicine and Oncology, and Consultant Oncologist, Imperial College London; Professor Dr Deborah Cunningham, Consultant Radiologist, St Mary’s Hospital and Lead Clinician for the Breast Service at Imperial College Healthcare Trust.
