The company:

My client is a world leader in Motion Capture; developing innovative, high performance software and hardware products for the entertainment, engineering and medical industries. Their systems are used in most blockbuster films and AAA games as well as in hospitals, virtual reality installations, and research fields ranging from sports science to robotics and drone development.

They have an informal and friendly company culture and you would be working as part of a team with other software engineers. Working from home is possible most of the time provided you are able to visit the Oxford offices as needed to perform tasks that cannot be conducted remotely and there is no expectation to be 'on call' outside of core office hours.

The role:

I am looking for a Software Development Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team to help develop the systems that support their application, computer vision, systems and embedded software teams.

They predominantly develop in C++ and Python and manage their development machinery using a mix of in-house and third-party systems for build configuration, continuous integration, automated regression testing, issue tracking, data management, server and build agent monitoring, and hardware testing.

The person:

I am looking for smart, motivated engineers that are keen to help build robust, high quality systems and work with interesting technology.

Candidates could come from a Programmer, DevOps, IT or Back-End / Infrastructure background and should have experience automating software development processes and systems administration tasks.

Knowledge of the technologies listed above is not essential, but some experience working with C++ and Python would be very beneficial.

Exposure to cloud and machine learning technologies may also be useful but similarly are not requirements.

The package:

The salary on offer is £65,000 – £85,000 dependant on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including; private medical, permanent health insurance, life cover and 10% employer pension.
