Reed Education are looking for experienced and highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a Special Educational Needs Schools based in Keighley, West Yorkshire. You must be located within this area for this opportunity. The role is for a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience working with behaviour needs and students with autism. The Role: • You must be confident and knowledge in behaviour management strategies • You must have sound understanding of autism. • You will be using Makaton within this role. • You must be proactive in interacting with the children, playing and talking to them on a daily basis. • The role is ideal for SEN Teaching Assistants looking for day to day work with the potential to become long term. • It is a requirement staff are comfortable with personal care of the pupils meaning you will be toileting when required. Requirements: • You must be able to use Makaton. • Experience working with students with sensory needs and behavioural needs • Positive Behaviour Management Level One – Level Two • Team Teach Training, previous experience in SEND environments, Qualified Teaching Assistant Status (Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, SEN Teaching Assistant) • Enhanced DBS on the update service Apply: If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this great opportunity, then please apply today!
