SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism and Complex needs

Start Date: ASAP and ongoing

Location: Hexham, Northumberland

Pay Rate: £71-£85 per day

We are looking for individuals who have an interest in working with pupils with Autism and associated disorders to work in Mainstream Primary and SEN Schools. The roles will require you to work 1:1 with specific children under the guidance of the class teacher.

You will be working with a high-quality team, dedicated to creative, social and physical development for their students as well as academic progress. You will be able to use your creative skills applied to different students to help bring out their individual skills and personalities.

What you need to apply

  • Experience working with children within the past 2 years (Voluntary welcome)
  • An understanding of Autism and associated disorders is preferred
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this)
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children
